New Choreography by Minna Harri and Himma
Minna Harri presents Things, a new work that will juxtapose a dancer - with body, consciousness and soul - to objects and artifacts on stage. Her movement will start to halt, thus changing her dance from lively to immobility, so that the distinction between her unproductivity and the inanimate objects will blur. How do we value her existence when her productivity is being stalled?
Himma is a new movement research group that practices and performs spontaneous choreography. The group members Christine Cali, Amy Helmstetter and Sarah Sass are interested in uncovering layers of presence for performance, accessing archetypes from the unconscious, and consciously shifting space, time and energy to create form. That which comes from the heart is a work about our current human condition and the underlying conflict between our individual hearts and our world heart.
