Fashion Forward: Dress and Style throughout the Centuries
This series meets 10 a.m. to Noon on Mondays, September 22, 29, and October 6.
In art, as in life, dress and style are indicators of social class, culture, history, politics, profession, geography, and psychology. Fashion also can provide a suitable barometer for gauging the true sense of a period.
Join art educator, Lilit Sadoyan, for this three-part classroom and gallery series, and explore artworks that portray what was worn in Western Europe from ancient civilizations to the era of Impressionism.
