TAIAT DANSA (Spain) & DANCEWORKS CHICAGO. WORKS IN PROGRESS: DANCE IN MAN RAYS WORK
The choreographers Inma García and Meritxell Barberá have been fascinated by the work of this artist for a very long time. They propose an investigative process with Danceworks that aims to reflect on the dance that is implicit in the images that Man Ray generated. The choreographer's understanding is that movement and the body played a fundamental role across the full spectrum of Man Ray's work.
On the 25th of August the Cervantes Institute of Chicago will host the choreographic work in progress that results from the collaboration with Danceworks based on this theme, dance in Man Ray's work.
In 1999 the choreographers Meritxell Barberá and Inma García founded his own company in the city of Valencia (Spain). Since then, they have presented their creations in different countries around Europe, Asia and America. In the last few years they work as choreographers for other companies over
