Las Tablas Fiesta Independencia Colombiana VOL 1
Las Tablas is proud to present an Afro-Colombian drum and dance party with Las Alegres Ambulancias, direct from San Basilio de Palenque, Colombia!
Celebrate Colombian independence day by dancing to a band that represent a tradition of Afro-Colombian music, dance, and language that is over 400 years old.
Las Alegres Ambulancias is no museum piece. Their sound has been transformed from generation to generation. Along with traditional singers and drummers, the band incorporates electric guitar and bass into this living tradition.
With Live Colombian DJ playing Salsa, Cumbia, Vallenato, and Champeta until 2:00am
San Basilio de Palenque was founded in 1603 by runaway slaves and is the historical birthplace of such famous Colombian rhythms as Cumbia, Bullerengue, and Mapalé. And Las Ambulancias are the main musical family of the town.
