Expositions of the Heart
Exposition of the Heart, directed and choreographed by Folawole, is an innovative combination of dance performances, live music and visual art seeking to raise awareness about abused and battered women by exploring themes of consciousness and rebirth. This work, developed in collaboration with the Womens Building, brings together the stories of women and men whose experiences are personally individual and commonly resonant. This performance will bridge new choreography and improvisation with masterful artists using a warm yet innovative approach to deepening audience engagement.
