John Cowan, John McFee & Friends
John Cowan, also known as the Voice of Newgrass, has been singing his heart out for thirty-five years now, and his soaring vocals have only improved with time. Now a full-time member of the Doobie Brothers, John applies his powerful pipes to genres from country, bluegrass, and gospel to soul, jazz, and rock-and-roll often within the space of a single concert. For this show, he will be playing with fellow Doobie Brother John McFee and friends. McFee, a principal member of the Doobie Brothers since 1979, has also played pedal steel guitar on Van Morrison's Tupelo Honey and Saint Dominic's Preview albums, and recorded with many other artists, including Steve Miller, the Grateful Dead (From the Mars Hotel album), Boz Scaggs, Emmylou Harris, Link Wray, Rick James, Ricky Scaggs, the Beach Boys and many more.
