BMC Night Beat with violinists Grant and Glenn Donnellan
Musical selections by violinists Grant and Glenn Donnellan - solos and duets on the violin, and tunes from Norway on the Hardanger (Norwegian traditional fiddle) as well as Glenn playing the Electric Slugger.
Violinist Grant Donnellan Grant is active throughout the Northwest as a string clinician, recitalist and chamber musician. He is currently Professor of violin at WWU (where he also directs a summer Chamber Music Institute); Music Director for the North Sound Youth Symphony and Concertmaster of the Whatcom Symphony Orchestra. Grant also plays with the Bellingham Festival of Music Orchestra.
Violinist Glenn Donnellan studied at the University of Minnesota under Almita and Roland Vamos and was a member of its Graduate String Quartet. He worked as a professional freelance musician in the Twin Cities until joining the NSO in 1997. Glenn honors is Norwegian heritage by playing the Hardanger fiddle and his love for baseball by playing the electric slugger.
