Elmhurst Symphony Orchestra 2014-2015 Subscription Series
With much anticipation, we invite you to enjoy the musical delights that await you in the Elmhurst Symphony Orchestra's 2014-15 Season, Music of the Soul.

Our season with sizzle with phenomenal young talents, including dancers from the DuPage Dance Academy in Saint-Saëns's Carnival of the Animals, and Stanger Young Artist Winners Lucie Ticho, Serena Harnack, and Daniel Kaler in music by Shostakovich, Tchaikovsky, and Saint-Saëns's.

The virtuosic skills of the Elmhurst Symphony Orchestra will be readily displayed in resounding masterworks such as Bartok's Concerto for Orchestra, Borodin's Symphony No. 2, and Franck's Symphony in d minor. Other beloved pieces include Brahms' Variations on Theme by Haydn, Fauré's ethereal Requiem, with combined choruses and outstanding vocal soloists, and Mozart's sublime Piano Concerto No. 24 with acclaimed pianist and Northwestern University faculty member Alan Chow as soloist.

Our January program offers the chance to experience Vivaldi's Four Seasons as never before when the astounding violinist Garam Kim performs to the backdrop of video imagery by artist Ben Whitehouse.  ESO Concertmaster Rika Seko and Associate Concertmaster Kate Carter will be featured in Bach's ever-popular Concerto for Two Violins.  Ms. Carter returns as soloist in March for Vaughan William's The Lark Ascending.

The Elmhurst Symphony Orchestra will delight you with great music and memorable renditions.
