Owls & Woodpeckers of the North Cascades, Olympics and Columbia Plateau
Like many other wild and urban areas throughout North America, the North Cascades, Olympics and Columbia Plateau host owl and woodpecker species. Woodpeckers change the landscape, creating cavities in which other birds and small animals make their nests and drilling sap wells that feed a multitude. Owls, beneficiaries of the woodpeckers industry, are high-order predators whose very presence attests to the health of an ecosystem. This evening presentation will feature a collection of 100 new and unique images of owls and woodpeckers from the Pacific Northwest. Space is limited, so get your tickets early! Those who register before September 10 will be entered in a drawing for a signed copy of The Owl and the Woodpecker, a copy of a print from the book, or an outdoor photo session with Bannick at a Seattle area park.
