This is Seattle first International Reggae Festival , held at King's Hall 2929 27thav S Seattle Wa, 98144.Headling this year's festival will be Coco Tea. Coco Tea was one of the early dancehall stars to carve out a consistent , productive career as the genre evolved over the years . His cool - toned ,laid back vocals were perfect for sweet, smooth lovers rock. and gave him a distinct identity. Coco Tea was born Calvin Scott on September 3, 1959. In Rocky point , a small town in Clarendon parish . Coco Tea had a series of hit singles; "Rocking Dolly" , "I lost my Sonia", "Informer", "Can't Stop Coco Tea". Following Coco Tea will be , no other than ,Micheal Rose. Micheal Rose has been recording over 25 years. His brand of militant , hardcore lyrics. Micheal Rose highest recognition came when joined Black Uhuru . In 1984 Micheal Rose and other members ,won reggae's first Grammy award for Anthem . Next will be Sister Carol , born in Kingston Jamaica in 1959. Her first album "Liberation for Africa" .In 1984's Black Cinderella was the album that established her to international fame. Other artists on the festival will be .Etana , Dawn Penn , Pablo Moses ,Winston Jarrett , Reggae Angles, Ranking Joe, and Laborer. The event guide will have full Bio on all artists.
