Merrimans' Playhouse Jazz Performance Series presents Team Players and Liver Quiver
Two groups touring together, forming TEAM PLAYERS, as two saxophones/guitar/drums/piano, and LIVER QUIVER as a trio of saxophone/guitar/drums. They are celebrating CDs releases for both groups. The groups are jazz and improvised music. Brad Linde is a Washington DC-based saxophonist and bandleader, curator of the cutting edge jazz series at the Atlas Performing Arts Center and founder of the Bohemian Caverns Jazz Orchestra. They will include original and improvised repertoire as well as variations on 20th C classical music.

Liver Quiver is a collective trio from Columbus, Ohio featuring Alto Saxophonist Alex Burgoyne, Guitarist Aaron Quinn and Drummer Seth Daily. Each member contributes original compositions to the ensemble, exploring the possibilities and limitations of the unique instrumentation.

TEAM PLAYERS is a quartet collective of composers and improvisers from various places in the US. Inspired by the chamber ensemble sound and free jazz of trail blazers Jimmy Giuffre and Paul Motian, the quartet celebrates the release of their first album, DRAFT.
