Rye Coalition are best friends who met in high school and began playing music together in 1993. The troubles and obstacles they faced as a band and as friends earned them the moniker the Hard Luck Five. Still, despite the implosion of the music industry at the exact moment they were poised to make it big;-- they persevere. Although the band was praised by critics and supported by an absurdly dedicated grassroots fan base, somehow these Jersey rockers never got their due. Until now. Culled from over 20 years worth of home movies, unseen tour footage, and new interviews with the band, their families, and featuring Steve Albini, Dave Grohl, Jared Warren, and more.
