Faced with the challenges of emergency veterinary costs for his very sick cat Sam ($2000+ and counting) while struggling to make ends meet as a starving artist in a bad economy, Orr decided to put on a show to raise the needed funds to cover mounting veterinary and household expenses, as well as to benefit another worthy pet cause: Dr. Carol Queen, Dr. Robert Lawrence and the Center for Sex & Culture are friends, colleagues and world-renowned pioneers in Queer Studies, Gender & Sexuality, Cultural Sexology, Erotic Art Archival & Archaeology, a precious resource and a true San Francisco treasure.
Joining forces, they now present an evening of laughter, music and art celebrating all things feline and feminine with FEED THE KITTY aka IN PRAISE OF PUSSY or MY FAIR LABIA!

Master of Ceremonies Tom Orr will be joined onstage throughout the open house salon-style soiree for three performance sets by some of the Bay Area's best cabaret showstoppers, musical theatre artists and burlesque performers. Plus: a silent meowction, fabulous pussy prizes and much more!
