Moving Lines Summer Dance Workshop
Moving Lines workshop is a workshop created for the new and experienced mover. What Megan Curet is striving to offer is a new authentic approach to finding grounded movement for the individual. Whether a new dancer learning to understand their body or a professional dancer striving to prepare for the stage.
Megan combines her training in the Graham technique and in Gaga movement to bring out intense and dramatic movement unique to each of her students.
The class is structured into three parts. Free movement, modern dance technique and repertoire. The rep is taken directly from Megan's work which is performed in her company Curet Performance Project. The free movement is the way the class starts out, as a warming method to loosen the body and heighten awareness to each part. Modern dance technique is based on the individuals knowledge of modern dance, with a core base in Graham technique.
Join us this summer in Berlin at Tanzstudio Carmen as Megan set's original work to be premiered at this summer's 2014 Edinburgh Fringe Festival in Scotland. And for new movers, come dance your hearts out. Class is opened to all and structure is set accordingly to the individuals experience and knowledge of dance.
