EVERY WEDNESDAY THIS MONTH THE LIZARD LOUNGE PRESENTS the fast-rising Mieka Pauley. "Soulful, gritty and defiant" says the Boston Phoenix of the highly lauded and brilliant singer songwriter known as Mieka Pauley. With her new band "The Mieka Canon" , Pauley picks up right where she left off - at the top of her game. After obtaining a degree in Biological Anthropology from Harvard University she went on to win the first-ever Starbucks Emerging Artist Award, take the top award at the Rocky Mountain Folks Fest Songwriter Showcase, be named Cosmopolitans Fun Fearless Female Rockstar of the Year in the publications StarLaunch competition, and finish in the top three at the Telluride Bluegrass Festivals Troubadour Competition not to mention a plethora of plaudits for her self-released 2007 album, Elijah Drop Your Gun.
