Early Music Voices: Clair Obscur (Soft Light) - Pallade Musica
References to light are numerous when speaking of the eighteenth century in France. Clair Obscur refers to a dim or soft light, reflecting Pallade's image of the music -- music of subtle contrasts, combining intimacy and virtuosity. Composers will include Rameau, Forqueray, Couperin and Boismortier. Made up of four of Montreal's most promising early music performers, they were Grand Prize winners at the Early Music America Baroque Performance Competition in New York, October 2012 come and hear why!
