Nuages Quartet - at the Conway Muse
Nuages Quartet - Inspired by the music of Django Reinhardt, we are a Gypsy jazz quartet. Our sound is a blend of vibrant energy and a bit of wistful romance. Nuages continues to build on the tradition of Reinhardt and his later incorporation of wind instruments in the Manouche jazz concept.
Nuages is the product of a passion for jazz inspired by Django Reinhardt. The band's name is the French word for clouds, the name was taken from the same titled piece composed by Reinhardt. Being from the Pacific Northwest, Nuages seemed fitting as we're all very acquainted with clouds. The group has been active since 2010 playing locally in Bellingham, Washington.
