Press. Play. Repeat.
Let Press Play, D.C.'s premiere longform improv comedy troupe, treat you to a night of comedy and music featuring some of the best D.C. has to offer in one of DC's hippest new venues!
Doors Open at 7:00pm Beer and Wine available for $3 each
Featured Acts Include:
*JUST ADDED: Music by Chase Willett. With a style derived from the likes of Nina Simone, Jimi Hendrix, Jeff Buckley and others, Chase Willett's sound is a driving, dynamic aggregation of these influences. Soulful, heart-weary vocals rise and fall over more melodic and up-tempo guitar riffs that move his compositions boldly forward, a kick drum on his right foot filling out the sound. Chase's 10+ years experience as a solo artist and band leader have resulted in a unique and powerful live performance and a musical style all his own.
Short-form improv by The Improv Imps: A group of Imps willing to humiliate themselves for your entertainment. The Imps developed at The Soundry in 2010 and have been causing trouble in the DC Metro area every since. They perform wherever they haven't been banned--like Central America.
Stand up comedy by Ryan Schutt: Ryan recently won District Comedy/Capital City March Madness of Comedy tournament! He also won our hearts along time ago. Come see what makes him such a winner.
Longform improv comedy by Barely Runcible: Their name might not make sense, but that they are funny makes the most sense. These guys won Washington Improv' Theater's 2014 Fighting Improv Smackdown Tournament and they will make you cry.
Longform improv comedy by Press Play: Press Play has making funny in and around the D.C. area for the last 4 years. Yep, as long as a presidential term, but with better results. We've just returned from performing the in the LA Improv Festival and the Del Close Marathon in New York City. Please welcome us back as we announce our candidacy for another term!
