Is it your dream to write the great American novel? Finishing a book is a tough thing to do even for the seasoned professional. In this class, successful novelist Amber Benson will help you nudge your book to the finish line! She'll also teach you techniques for creating compelling characters, exciting plot lines, and vivid worlds. If you like, you can even bring in up to 1200 words of your novel for targeted feedback every other session! With the aid of fun, hands-on exercises and balanced workshopping sessions, you will have completed at least one act of your brilliant book by the last session of this class. Before you know it, Random House will be banging on your door!

About Amber Benson:
Amber Benson is a writer, director, actor and maker of things. She wrote the five-book Calliope Reaper-Jones urban fantasy series for Penguin and the middle grade book, Among The Ghosts, for Simon and Schuster. She co-directed the Slamdance feature, Drones, and (co-wrote) and directed the BBC animated series, The Ghosts of Albion. She and her co-writer, Christopher Golden, then novelized the Ghosts of Albion universe in two novels for Random House. As an actor, she spent three years as Tara Maclay on the hit television series, Buffy The Vampire Slayer. Her latest book, The Witches of Echo Park, comes out in January from Penguin.
