About Eric Hiss: Award-winning travel writer Eric Hiss regularly navigates the world in search of unexpected and enlightening stories. In a career spanning nearly two decades, he has contributed to dozens of publications and websites, including Condé Nast Traveler, Robb Report, Los Angeles Times, Delta Sky, Los Angeles magazine, The Travel Channel, Variety, Men's Journal and others. Earlier in his career he helped pioneer streaming travel videos in the late 1990's, had a short film he shot in India appear in multiple film festivals, and has sold his images to both print and online outlets. He also researched and wrote the Los Angeles edition of Chronicle Book's popular "City Walks" guidebook series. An early adopter and long-time advocate of digital media, he is also a co-founder and editor of the global travel blog wandermelon.com.
