The Kitchen Counter Club Presents: Launch Party for Burnt Toast Makes You Sing Good
No one throws a book launch party like Kathleen Flinn. In the past, she's brought in burlesque dancers, offered Wusthof knives as door prizes and rented the China Room in the Smith Tower. For the party to release her third memoir, she found inspiration in this, the opening line of the book:
"I'm Swedish, which makes me sexy, and I'm Irish, which makes me want to talk about it."
So join in the fun as she takes over the top floor of the Swedish Cultural Center in Seattle. Take in the sweeping views of Lake Union, the mountains and the city skyline. Enjoy unlimited select beer and wine. Savor the super fun buffet. (Spoiler alert: we'll have Flint-style Coney Island hot dogs! Yay!) Listen to the Johnny Cash impersonator. Be entranced by the surprise "entertainment." It's gonna be a great night.
Each ticket includes a signed hardcover copy of Burnt Toast Makes You Sing Good from book partner Elliott Bay Book Company, plus food, wine, parking and tickets for door prizes. A limited number of couple tickets (offering admission for two, but including one book) will also be available.
Additional copies of Burnt Toast Makes You Sing Good will be available for purchase on site from Elliott Bay Book Co. ($27.95+ tax). Copies of Flinn's earlier books can be ordered in advance or purchased on site.
