BalletCore Workshop with Tessa Sestina of NYC
Get strong & lean without Balanchine with the BalletCore workout!
- Develop stability, flexibility, and grace through this special blend of yoga, Pilates, and ballet core work. - Learn to utilize the benefits of dynamic breath while increasing your coordination and range of motion. - Glide through stretching and strengthening techniques while providing a light cardio workout.
We'll use resistance bands, gravity, and dynamic movement to tone your muscles. All you need to bring is socks and a yoga mat.
No prior experience with Ballet is necessary. Open to all levels.
ABOUT TESSA Tessa Wright is a trained ballet dancer, certified yoga and Pilates Instructor based in New York City. She has danced with Boston Ballet, Burklyn Ballet Theatre,The Immediate Theatre Company, and Kriye Bode at the Alvin Ailey Extension. She received her yoga education at the Integral Yoga Institute in Hatha yoga, which consists of guiding students through a series of steady comfortable postures that calm the mind and tone the body. In addition Tessa passionately studies a variety of body conditioning techniques including Pilates and has achieved her mat certification through Power Pilates. She frequently combines methods to help deliver a tailored workout.
