General Information:
1.Public tours of Alliant Energy's Prairie du Sac Hydroelectric Generating Station will be offered:
a.September 12th 3pm to 6pm
b.September 13th 9am to 3pm
c.September 14th 9am to 3pm
2.Tours are for Adults and Children of Kindergarten age and up (~5 years old)
3.Tours are 90 minutes. They start and end at the Tripp Heritage Museum located at 565 Water Street, Prairie du Sac, WI 53578. There will be a display commemorating the 100th Anniversary of the Dam and the forming of Lake Wisconsin to view prior to or after the tour.
4.All tours will travel by bus from the Tripp Museum to the Dam. The bus ride takes approximately 5 minutes. Each tour time slot allows 20 people.
5.Tours will be given by retired and current dam employees.
6.Tours are not ADA accessible due to the age of the facility.
7.People will small children or people with physical limitations (ADA, trouble with stairs) may contact the Tripp Heritage Museum for alternative viewing accommodations. 608-644-8444 or spahs@frontier.com
8.Photos are allowed in all areas of the facility. Photos should not delay the tours progress though, so tour guides may ask the group to move on after sufficient time for photos has been allowed.
9.Tickets are $5/each. All proceeds go to the Tripp Heritage Museum, a non-profit community education, research and preservation center, to support its programs and displays.

11.Alliant Energy and the Sauk Prairie Area Historical Society are pleased to offer this special opportunity to the public to celebrate 100 years!
Safety Information/Required Clothing:
1.All participants will be required to sign a waiver and show a photo ID. The tour is of a working hydroelectric power plant.
2.Must have closed toe shoes with a sturdy sole. No flip flops, no high heels, no sandals, no crocs, etc.
3.Must wear long pants. No shorts, no skirts, no dresses.
4.Hardhats, safety glasses and ear protection will be provided.
5.Must follow tour guides' instructions at all time. Must stay inside designated areas and behind fencing at all times.
6.If proper attire is not worn, participants will not be allowed on the bus. Please ensure you dress appropriately for the tour.
Traffic and Parking information:
THE HWY 60 BRIDGE IS OUT FOR CONSTRUCTION UNTIL NOVEMBER. PLEASE TAKE ALTERNATE ROUTE.
Parking available throughout downtown Prairie du Sac within blocks of the Tripp Heritage Museum.
