The Spinney Brothers Band in Concert
University Park United Methodist Church
Dallas, TX
Share this event:

We are pleased to share a special evening with the internationally-acclaimed and multiple-award-winning Spinney Brothers, and their full band, at the University Park United Methodist Church!  According to Neil Rosenburg of Memorial University, "The heart of The Spinney Brothers' music lies in their duet singing that is as tight as you'll find in bluegrass today."  Natives of the Annapolis Valley of Nova Scotia, Canada, the Spinney Brothers believe in freshness and excitement in traditional bluegrass music. Brother duet singing, backed by supportive instrumentation, is the foundation of their tasteful sound.

Our venue is the beautiful Fellowship Hall at University Park United Methodist Church, located at 4024 Caruth Boulevard in University Park (www.UPUMC.org).  This is just off Preston Road about 1/4 mile south of Northwest Highway.  The entrance to Fellowship Hall is on Caruth across from Smith Park.  Come early and jam in the park!

A portion of the proceeds from this event will benefit the non-profit 501c3 Bluegrass Heritage Foundation.  The Bluegrass Heritage Foundation works to preserve and promote the heritage of bluegrass music in America, with a focus on promoting bluegrass music in Texas.  The Foundation seeks to educate the public about this distinctly American form of music with roots in Irish, Scottish, and English traditional music through educational programs and workshops, public performances of bluegrass music, historic preservation efforts, and other similar programs.  Find our more at www.BluegrassHeritage.org.
