Cooks & Books at Lark with Langdon Cook, author of 'The Fat of the Land'
On September 14th, we will celebrate the incredible bounty of our region when we host Langdon Cook at Lark for a foraged dinner--our first Cooks & Books dinner of the season! Chef John Sundstrom will join Lang on a foraging adventure, and then create a multi-course dinner out of what they gather! As detailed in Cooks new book 'The Fat of the Land: Adventures of a 21st Century Forager', foraging is not a throwback to our hunter-gatherer past, but a way to reconnect with the landscape and appreciate the bounties of the earth and water around us. After leaving his role as a senior book editor at Amazon.com in 2004, Lang decided to pursue life off the grid in a cabin with his wife and son, and has since become a master forager. Whether he is free-diving in the icy Puget Sound in hopes of spearing a snaggletooth lingcod, or tempting fate by eating questionable mushrooms, he finds adventure--and great meals--in every attempt. Join us for an unforgettable evening! $95 for all courses, wine pairings, and a signed copy of 'The Fat of the Land'; sales tax and 18% gratuity bring the total to $120 per person.
