Local Food Picnic - A Community Celebration of Fresh From the Farm Food

Join us for a Saturday afternoon at Loomis Park South to celebrate fresh from the farm food. Slow Food will be grilling locally raised pasture-fed lamb. Bring a potluck dish made with local ingredients to share. The dish should be enough for eight and please bring an index card with the name of the dish, the ingredients, and the farm or garden the ingredients came from when possible. This is a family event with music, food and fun. Slow Food will provide water, lemonade and iced tea for refreshment. The price for admission including entertainment, grilled lamb, the potluck meal and refreshments is $12 for adults and $2 for children under 14. A portion of the proceeds from each ticket will be used to support youth agricultural education and school gardens. Tickets must be purchased in advance. There will be no tickets available the day of the event.
