3rd Annual Gullah Festival - Film Festival & Dr. Llaila Afrika
Featuring special guest, Dr. Llaila O. Afrika, author, lecturer, doctor of holistic health. Dr. Afrika's slave ancestors were from the Sea Islands. They were sold out of Charleston, So. Carolina, to Virginia. His parents eventually migrated from Virginia to Baltimore for work. He lives on a Sea Island and has conducted Black History Tours of the Islands for over 10 years. Books by Dr. Afrika include "The Gullah-People Blessed by God", "African Holistic Health", "Nutricide", and many more. Dr. Afrika will be speaking on health, nutrition, Gullah culture, history, and more.
