DJ Jeannie Hopper's LSL Boat Party brings together the happy dancing party people who love dancing and good people. Super soulful house music and vibes hard to find unless you are in the know on the grassroots underground scene which all are connected to and through the Liquid Sound Lounge radio show broadcasting since July 18, 1993 Saturday nights, 7-10pm on WBAI 99.5fm listener sponsored community radio. New York's only true grassroots community station serving the people.
Liquid Sound Lounge has been supporting the people's healthy addiction, that being the infectious grooves of soulful organic house music covering deep, funky, afro, groovy, techy, vocal, over the top 'Good Music'. And in turn connecting the communities of social dancing harkening to the roots of the scene from David Mancuso's 'The Loft' to Nicky Siano's 'The Gallery' to 'The Paradise Garage' and the list goes on.
DJ Jeannie Hopper has been rockin' the NY scene for over 20 years playing at Danny Krivit's 718 Sessions, FrancoisK's Deep Space, resident at Club Shelter, regular at Nickodemus' Turntables on the Hudson, resident at the Do It parties, Danny Tenaglia's 'Be Yourself WMC Party', club Roxy, Limelight, Save the Robots, Cafe con Leche, Tunnel, Spirit, Vinyl, Cielo, The Standard and more around which propelled her into the international touring scene spinning in Ibiza's Club Space, Athens "Club Paradizo", Kuala Lampur's "Kent Club", Berlin's "Sage Club", Madrid's "Mondo", Moscow's "Propoganda Club", London's "Turnmills", "Fabric", "Indulge", "Whislte Bump" and resident at Nuphonic's "Bridge & Tunnel" club...plus many more cities.
DJ Victor Simonelli is at the true essence of house music almost since its inception having worked with Arthur Baker as an intern learning cutting and splicing editing which is how dance tunes were produced into extended cuts for the dance floor. He than was hired and has continued ever since to produce some of our favorite songs of all time especially many becoming Liquid Sound Lounge Anthems. Not to mention all timeless and as fresh today as ever. "Feels So Right" by Solution being one especially 'Stellar' selection.
Super Duper is the effect created with live instrumentation and improvisation between DJ Jeannie Hopper and Jay Rodriguez plus invited musicians. Jay Rodriguez's history is rich from early years playing as a child prodigy with Tito Puente to playing on Prince's Black Album to being one of the primary figures of Groove Collective the primier US band rockin' in what was known as the 'acid jazz' scene. He's on an endless list of releases in the house music world including Dennis Ferrer, Louie Vega, Spinna, Marlon D, Victor Simonelli and many more.
