At Historic Fayette Theater's summer show in July, you'll be seeing spirits, but please don't fear. In the lighthearted play, The Contrite Spirit, Kerry Kirkpatrick, a young bachelor, comic-book artist discovers his recently-purchased, stately country home may already be inhabited. He thinks he's found the perfect setting for conducting both his life and career, until he discovers his home is haunted by the ghost of a Civil War Confederate cavalry officer.
As we all know, the Civil War is an integral part of Fayetteville's history. Perhaps Kerry could be living in one of the many beautiful homes right here in our beloved town? Come out this July and see The Contrite Spirit and decide for yourself.
Be sure to mark your calendars to catch a performance of this great Appalachian play! And always check our website and Facebook page for dates of auditions for upcoming shows and events.
