WE ALL WE GOT is a new hip hop, R&B, rap, reggae and soul music showcase in San Francisco, offering a platform for emerging independent artists to be seen and industry creatives to connect with new talent. Presented by Inhouse Talent and hosted by Revolutionary Poet Sellassie, WE ALL WE GOT is designed to expose interesting and determined artists, cultivate relationships, and build community among independents. At a beautiful, new Mission District venue, The Blue Macaw boasts a great stage, sound system, mezzanine, lounge area and location.
Advocates of independent music, Inhouse Talents Gina Gallo and Sellassie see the opportunity to contribute to the local arts community among ambitious, forthcoming artists. Hip Hop artist Sellassie states, We are the Future and realizes the vast talent here in the Bay Area. Local promoters bring in all these other rappers from all over the country for shows and have stars right here in the Bay.
With a debut release, Im Tryin to Make a Livin Not a Killin, Sellassie explores socio-economic inequities, political injustices and the realities of ghetto life. With a fresh perspective and new sound, Sellassie is an alternative in todays hip-hop, proof that there are young black artists that can make music that is creative, street and smart.
Sponsored by Hard Knock Radio (HKR), 94.1 FM- KPFA's daily drive time Hip Hop public affairs show with in-depth reporting and news analysis for the Hip Hop Generation. The show features hosts Davey D, Weyland Southon, Anita Johnson and DJ Mike Biggz who hit the air weekdays at 4pm offering news, views, breaks, and beats. Hosted on community radio station KPFA, allows the show the freedom to provide an outlet for national and international urban artists and musicians largely ignored by the Hip Hop media, HKR champions the sounds of artists committed to social justice and community empowerment. The show is ever-growing and now can be heard syndicated on WFRG in Atlanta, KBOO in Portland, KBCS in Seattle, and on XM Satellite Radio as well as world-wide on kpfa.org.
Produced by Inhouse Talent, owner Gina Gallo has been in the Bay Area music industry for over a dozen years and alongside presenting WE ALL WE GOT, Inhouse Talent manages Sellassie, co-produces the Power to the Peaceful Festival, is partnered in CARTEL and is booking the Hard Truth Soldiers Tour with Hip Hop Icon Paris.
