Family Workshop: Exploring Art Together
Family Workshop: Exploring Art Together
School may be out for the summer, but there are fun activities parents can do with their children at the museum to enrich out-of-school time through visual art. In this family workshop we invite families to come explore their own creativity and witness their child's development!
Families will work together to explore art materials and a guided tour based on the Material Histories: Artists in Residence 2013-14 through activities involving painting, collage and drawing. All of the programs are easily duplicable by families in their own home. Choose from a variety of activities that help parents understand the connections between arts and academics while providing a fun, hands-on experience parents and children can share.
One adult is required for every child. Space is limited and pre-registration is required.
Family Programs are funded in part, by Council Member Inez E. Dickens, 9th Council District, Speaker Christine Quinn and the New York City Council.
