3-Play: June 2014
3-Play (June 2014). Curated by Gülgün Kayim, this second 3-Play of the year features new work by Lisa Channer, Keli Garrett, and Sandra Teitge.
RANT by Lisa Channer
RANT is based on R. Buckminster Fuller's two day lecture entitled "everything I know" and Channer's father's 40 years as a cable news talk show host in Manhattan. It is about the ethics of parenting, failure in all forms and how to hold many ideas together at the same time. Channer is writer and performer (with Dan Dukich). Directed by Carra Martinez.
Lisa Channer is a director, actor and teacher. Originally from New Paltz NY she now runs Theatre Novi Most with Vladimir Rovinsky and teaches directing and performance at the University of Minnesota. She spent many years in New England as a member of Sleeveless Theatre making political theatre and performing often. For a little while she lived and worked in Alabama. Since 1997 she has mostly directed and RANT marks a return to putting her own body on the line in performance. --- Sh#t Muthaf#ckers in the American Theatre Say: a compendium on the banality of mediocre thought. by Keli Garrett
Keli Garrett is a reader, writer and thinker, who in her spare time likes to contemplate the possibilities in her life. --- Culinary presentation: Dinner Exchange Americana by Sandra Teitge
I will experiment with different ways of serving, eating, and discussing food & food waste. More information here.
