VIcci Martinez
Enjoy an intimate acoustic evening with VIcci Martinez!ABOUT VICCI MARTINEZ

A lot can happen in a few years, but if you just say yes to the possibilities, you never know where it will take youand this is true with Vicci Martinez.

In 2010, Vicci opened her horizon and started to say yes to things that were different and slightly uncomfortable but she knew she had to get out of her comfort zone to get to the next level. She started with a new management company and was presented with the option to be on Season 1 of the new NBC show The Voice and said yes. She took all of the challenges the show brought and pushed through and thrived, going all the way to win on Team CeeLo and coming in 3rd place overall.

Her success on The Voice opened up some new doors for Vicci. In 2011, she was signed to Republic Records and went to work writing and recording an album that pushed her musically and had the opportunity to work with some of the best in the business, Max Martin, Peter Svensson, The Matrix, Tim Pagnotta and Jason Nevins. In February of 2012, she had the opportunity to perform her new single, "Come Along feat CeeLo Green" with her Voice coach CeeLo on The Tonight Show with Jay Leno, what a great way to start the launch of her single. Republic decided to release a digital EP in March, followed by her major label debut, "Vicci," in May of 2012.

Then the work began. Vicci and her manager hit the road on the "Thelma & Louise Tour" basically going to any radio station, venue, TV Station, etc., which would meet with them to promote the new single, "Come Along." The track had a little steam at Hot AC Radio and then fell back down, but she kept at it. Finally KS95 in Minneapolis started to play it and it started to sell singles, which reignited the label which deemed this track "The little song that could." Slowly Cincinnati, Chicago, Seattle, Denver and more markets added the track and it started to move back up the charts. A year after the release of the single, the video for "Come Along" was shot in Seattle but Jon Jon Augustova (Macklemore) and the video was added to VH1. Over a 1  years at radio the track finally peaked at #16 at Hot AC Radio, #19 at AAA, #12 at VH1, over 1 million views on YouTube and 250,000+ singles sold.

In the fall, the second single "I Can Love" was released to Hot AC and after 4 weeks peaked at #51 and Vicci's relationship with Republic was over. Vicci has never been stopped and started writing for her new record. A chance meeting on a flight to LA, Vicci met Spanish Broadcasting exec Bill Shadorf who fell in love with her music and opened up a new door for Vicci. Latino 96.3 in Los Angeles started to play one of her tracks "Run, Run, Run" and because of it, Vicci went back to write her current single, "Otra Cancion" with her Swedish friend and writer Erik Lewander. Being a first generation Mexican American has always been something Vicci has always identified strongly with and releasing this song helps to solidify her roots in the community. Vicci, like many 1st generation families, doesn't speak Spanish but identifies with the heritage and the culture.

During the past few years, Vicci has had some amazing opportunities; performing with Pat Monahan of Train, debuting "Come Along" on The Voice, Grammy Soundcheck event at The Paramount in Seattle; Southwest Airlines Live at 35 performance; aLoft Hotel events; Gracie Awards; SummerThing Festival in San Francisco; Bumbershoot Festival; Universal CityWalk Performance; Steve Vai Tour Dates; Taylor Guitars NAMM Showcase, and too many amazing charity events to name. Vicci continues to tour and was honored to perform at the 2014 NFL Honors at Radio City Music Hall especially with her hometown team, The Seahawks, in the Superbowl, now the 2014 Superbowl Champions. She performed as part of the Sail Across the Sun Cruise with Train and had the opportunity to sit in with Train, Michael Franti and John Oates, and she has actually written two songs with Pat Monahan which you will hopefully see on her upcoming album.

You never know what will happen if you just say yes
