Jazz Band Camp!

July 14 - 18, Monday - Friday 10:00am - 2:00pm

Concerts:
Thursday, July 17th @ 6pm Loomis Family Fest
Friday, July 18th @ 12:30 pm McLaughlin Studios

Aspiring jazz musicians ages 8+ are encouraged to join this one week summer jazz camp. Students learn to play jazz charts, learn to improvise, jam with others and perform for an audience. Session ends with an in-studio concert...in addition all students will receive a CD of their performance recorded LIVE!

Instructor: Tim Stephenson is a graduate of CSU Sacramento with a Bachelors in Music Performance. He is a well rounded percussionist versed in classical, jazz, rock, pop, and latin, as well as marching techniques for both drumline and mallets. He is well versed in all styles of piano, jazz and pop vocals, and rock guitar. Tim's passion for music and teaching is evident in his versatility as a musician as well as his enthusiasm with his students. He is always positive and guides his students with patience and humor.
