Al Fresco Dinner at Historic Salem Court House, Washington County NY
Each year the Historic Salem Courthouse Preservation Association holds its Al Fresco Dinner on the grounds of the old Salem Courthouse. Guests sit at long, tented-over, communal tables to feast on an extraordinary selection of local foods and wines. (The average distance from farm to table is about 16 miles.) The Al Fresco Dinner is truly one of the great "slow" opportunities of the summer.
