Bitch and Tell: a real funny variety show
Written and performed by Bob McIntyre, Nick Stargu, Carolina "CoiCoi" Duncan plus long form improv groups: Moosehead Friday May 13 only; Cat Dance Sat. May 14 only

The shows in this new series are a hit and hit a nerve with audiences who are asking for more variety in the standard comedy format. Returning guests and new faces bring stand up, music, physical comedy and improvisation. The June lineup features stand up storyteller, Bob McIntyre; physical comedienne, Carolina "CoiCoi" Duncan; composer/musician Nick Stargu, plus long form improv troupes, Moosehead (Friday only) and Cat Dance (Saturday only).

"A variety show could hardly be truer to the genre than Bitch and Tell...And all are comedians - in their own ways. Yet these acts are not your typical comedy club routines, so that's where producer Mary Alice Fry came in.... The comedians, broadly defined, in Bitch and Tell specialize in thoughtful, observational humor, and they also play with the form of comedy in exciting ways." Lily Janiak, feature writer SF Weekly. BIOGRAPHIES:

Bob McIntyre got his first job as a waiter at the local bingo hall in Colonial Manor, New Jersey at age 13 where he learned the skills that would carry him through an additional 28 years of various restaurant jobs in a variety of establishments that would never be referred to as "fine dining." He has performed his hilarious storytelling style of comedy recently at EL RIO and Comedy Bodega with Marga Gomez. This is his third round of Bitch and Tell and Footloose is producing his one man show which is in progress "Please wait to be seated."

Carolina "CoiCoi" Duncan will be doing a excerpt from her solo play "Dolores," the story of a 220 year old bionic woman with a heart of steel living in the year 2234 who works in a corporation that sells a simulated reality where humans no longer feel emotion. But Dolores has a short circuit that causes her to experience recollections of herself as human. These visions are at once tragic, heart-wrenching and comedic. Carolina continues James Donlon's lineage of Neo Classical Mime in North America. Trained in mask performance by Leonard Pitt and circus arts by San Francisco Circus Center Clown Conservatory, Carolina has found her own style of performance where she assumes different characters to tell a story and uses sound effects to complete the images. "Dolores" was first developed at Subterranean Arthouse in Berkeley, then ran at Stage Werx, Rogue Festival in Fresno, and is headed to Winnipeg Fringe Festival this summer. www.coi2smiles.com

Nick Stargu is a musician, comedian, filmmaker and writer who is best know for his musical comedy act, DJ REAL, which has been featured in the San Francisco Sketch Festival, the Bridgetown Comedy Festival, the San Francisco Comedy Competition, and the Noisepop Festival. And he's opened for Devo! Most recently, he began writing and performing with Drennon Davis as the musical comedy act, Imaginary Radio. Nick has written a number of podcast theme songs and engineered albums for local recording artists. www.nickstargu.com
