MONTY . MITRA "The Last Hindu" --------------------------------------------------- Can't a kid just be crappy at sports and a total nerd to get picked on? You know, like the good old days? Not if Jesus has anything to say about it. From gym classes to grocery store parking lots, Monty confronts the realities of being a Texas-born Hindu - a religion you may know more about than he does.
ZAHRA . NOORBAKHSH "Hijab and Hammerpants" --------------------------------------------------- What's scarier: the wrath of God, or peer-pressuring, grunge-minded pre-teens? While cheating on a religion test in Muslim Sunday school, 12-year-old Zahra discovers it's up to her to save her mother from hell by wearing the Muslim headscarf, hijab -- even though her mom already wears hijab. And, even though her hijab-wearing mom doesn't want Zahra to wear it. Nope. All mom wants is for Zahra to fit-in with the popular kids, by sporting a pair of banana-yellow MC Hammerpants to her first day of 7th grade, so that everyone can see her "bright" personality. Will it be middle school hell, or fire-and-brimstone hell that gets this 12 year old to change up her back-to-school wardrobe?
BRUCE . PACHTMAN "I Feel a Little Like Neil Armstrong" --------------------------------------------------- Bruce is an actor who has just arrived in LA. He is already working with the most prestigious talent agency in Hollywood. A hot, young director has written a role for him in a major motion picture. Bruce's brother has invited him to live in his home in Santa Monica. Then why, after less then two months, is Bruce working in a hot tub club, handing out towels to patrons? Why will no one answer his phone calls? How did everything go wrong so quickly?
