Mandolin Orange with Twain
North Carolina duo Mandolin Orange melds earnest melodies, poignant lyrics, and deft musicianship to create music that reflects their roots and their essence. Andrew Marlin and Emily Frantz began playing together in 2009 after meeting at a local jam in Chapel Hill. Since that time, they've released three albums, Quiet Little Room, Haste Make/Hard-Hearted Stranger, and their 2013 release, This Side of Jordan, receiving widespread recognition and critical acclaim. This summer they will join the ranks of folk legends, past and present, performing at the 2014 Newport Folk Festival.
