Fourth of July Campout at the Queens Farm
Ah, the Fourth of July. Do you really want to spend it packed onto a friend-of-a-friend's roof, eating a lukewarm hamburger and craning your neck to catch a glimpse of the fireworks over New Jersey? Nah.
Come support the Queens Farm! Butcher Tom Mylan will be roasting a farm fresh pig, and we'll have pulled pork sandwiches, potato salad, coleslaw, green salad, apple pie, and more. Brooklyn Brewery will be serving up locally made brews.
But it's not all about food. We'll have some special musical guests, play capture the flag, kick the can and maybe even flashlight tag on the farm, and then we'll camp out in the orchard, and even serve breakfast in the morning including just gathered eggs from the farm.
Food, beer, music, games, a camping spot and parking all included in your ticket. Tents and transportation are up to you (although we will provide car services to the LIRR on Sunday morning). Profits to benefit the Queens County Farm Museum.
