ARC Dance presents SUMMER DANCE AT THE CENTER
ARC Dance Company opens Thursday, July 17, for a three-evening program at Seattle Center's Leo Kreielsheimer Theatre. This summer's program offers a world premier dance created by Gérard Théorȇt (Royal Winnipeg Ballet, Cirque du Soleil) along with tantalizing favorites by Alex Ketley (San Francisco Ballet, The Foundry) Jason Ohlberg (Hubbard Street Dance), Kirk Midtskog (Halbey Dance Theater, Pacific Northwest Ballet), and Marie Chong (ARC Director).
ARC has been presenting mixed repertory work since 1999, specializing in producing a wide variety of dance programing by different choreographers. Marie Chong, Artistic Director has been determined to offer accessible and evocative programing to Seattle for the past 15 years. Her fostering collaborations with other artists, combining aerial dance with classical ballet, and combining other performing arts medias has made ARC Dance a prominent contributor to Seattle's dance community.
ARC's annual Summer Dance at the Center program has been a Seattle summer favorite since 2008. It offers accessible dance performances that are intriguing, entertaining and engagingall in the beautiful Leo K. Theatre. The technical diversity of the dancers and the eclectic curation of each program offers a showcase of an art form full of surprises and beauty.
