If You Blink...

Small towns. Where everybody knows everybody, life is an open book and nothing, no, nothing is sacred. Gather 'round and hear the funny, poignant and always surprising small town stories of Ben San Del and Karen Taulelle, appearing with Special Guest Ari Hoptman. Who knew life could be lived so large in someplace so small?

Ben San Del, comedian, storyteller and former journalist is a regular emcee and performer at the Acme Comedy Club (winner of Acme Comedy Co.'s Funniest Person in the Twin Cities Contest) and is a Fringe Festival favorite. The St. Paul Pioneer Press has called his performance "sharp, with perfect pacing" and the City Pages has called him a "reliably on-target stalwart". Here Ben will be reprising a story from his last Fringe show, Strawberry Fields Temporarily, which Rake Magazine said to "make sure to mark on your Fringe itinerary".

Karen Taulelle is a documentary filmmaker (Carny - Best Documentary Short, Landlocked Film Festival), essayist (MN Women's Press) and storyteller (Balls Cabaret, Patrick's Cabaret). If You Blink... is Karen's latest professional production for the stage.

Ari Hoptman, popular comedian, storyteller, author, playwright and actor of the stage and screen makes a special appearance to share tales of life from the soon-to-be-small town of Detroit.
