108 - Reversible Intarcia with Laurinda Reddig
Are you frustrated by colorwork that only looks good on one side or results in a stiff, inflexible fabric? Do want to avoid the little bits of the wrong colors that bleed between your color changes making your shapes and images blurry around the edges? Learn Reversible Intarsia Crochet from the innovative designer who developed this new technique. Using only half double crochet stitches, this class will begin with learning how to avoid vertical stranding when changing colors between straight stitches. Then we will explore how to create smooth diagonal lines between color changes using increases paired with decreases, "late color changes", and when to carry the yarn to avoid diagonal stranding. We will also discuss the basics of yarn management when working with multiple colors and applying these techniques to your own projects. Open up a whole new world of crocheted colorwork with a brand new technique.
