The 14th annual Shakespeare In Royal Oak presents its daylight family show on the outdoor stage in Royal Oak's Starr Jaycee Park.
The Complete Works of William Shakespeare (Abridged) [Revised] by Adam Long, Daniel Singer and Jess Winfield is produced under license from Broadway Play Publishing, Inc.
See all of the Bard's genius mashed together into one hilarious farce presented by three incredible local actors. Directed by Artistic Director Sarah Catheryn Wolf, Complete Works is sure to leave the whole family laughing all the way home!
When you purchase tickets online, you'll have to select a performance you'd like to attend. But your ticket to The Complete Works of William Shakespeare (Abridged) [Revised] is good for ANY performance of this show: Saturday & Sunday at 2:00pm and August 5 & 6 at 7:00pm. So come on the date you choose, or come to another - it's your choice.
Shakespeare in the Park is Michigan's biggest and best professional outdoor theatre event. Seating is general admission. Bring a blanket to sit close to the stage, a low-to-the-ground lawn chair or beach chair for mid-lawn seating, or a tall lawn chair for rear lawn seating. Bleacher seating is available behind the lawn chair area.
Starr Jaycee Park is a 28-acre public park with play structures, a disk golf course, mini-train tracks, ball diamonds and lots of old growth trees.
For two weeks this summer, the park will also be home to a barrier-free, open-air theatre custom built by Water Works Theatre Company. We make sure that people who come to enjoy the park can have unrestricted access to the facilities, even if they are not attending our shows. However, we do close the child play structures and disk golf holes 9 and 18 during our performances.
Our daylight family shows last about 90 minutes. It's Michigan, so we suggest you dress for the weather to change, just in case.
You can't bring your own, but we are pleased to offer family friendly concessions for sale during our performances. Convenient parking is available at or adjacent to Starr Jaycee Park.
Our weather policy is like a baseball game - we stop if it rains too much. Rain checks will be made available at the park, except for closing night.
