Local Roots NYC Supper Club: Thai Menu
To celebrate the summertime Local Roots NYC will join forces with Mark Dobbie formerly of Nahm restaurant and currently at Pok Pok NYC.
The chef's multi-course menu will showcase traditional Thai dishes eaten family style with an array of fresh, seasonal produce from the farm to compliment. Come to enjoy the meal plus two beer pairings from the extensive tap list at 61 Local.

To Start A tapioca wafer with sweet pork and peanuts Beef heart with spicy grilled tomato in betel leaf
Followed by Salad of Rabbit, grilled aubergines, chilies and pak boon Sour orange curry of fish with asparagus and cha om Nahm prik of Millbrook farm salted eggs with green mango and lungsart
To finish A selection of fruits with chili, sugar, salt and hibiscus flower
There will be plenty of friendly banter and a casual ambiance on the 61 Local mezzanine so come alone, grab a date, grab a friend, bring your family just so long as we see you there!
About Mark Dobbie Mark Dobbie is an Australian born chef who has been cooking internationally for over 10 years, chasing authentic Thai cuisine all over the world, spending 5 years at Nahm restaurant (voted San Pellegrino's Best Restaurant in Asia) under the watchful eye of David Thompson. He arrived in New York to work for Andy Ricker at Pok Pok in Brooklyn. His food is fundamentally traditional in flavor, technique and composition, but not wholly restricted by tradition.
About Local Roots NYC Local Roots NYC strengthens the city's connection with local food by creating a culture of community, accessibility and innovation. Through the Community Supported Agriculture (CSA) program, Local Roots NYC provides over 400 NYC residents with local, sustainably grown food and specialty items from small Brooklyn producers; they also host locally sourced Supper Clubs as well as cooking classes.
Local Roots NYC was recently named The CSA That Knows How To Party by Brooklyn Based. Program Director, Wen-Jay Ying, was granted the Entrepreneur of the Year award by former Mayor Bloomberg and listed as "Ones to Watch" by Cherry Bombe Magazine.
