Pigs and Turkeys: Friend or Foe?
Reg Barrett, Goertz Distinguished Professor of Wildlife Management at UC Berkeley, will talk on the management issues for feral pigs and wild turkeys. Professor Barrett, the author of over 170 studies and publications concerning wildlife management, will discuss the history, status and management options for wild pigs and wild turkeys in California and Sonoma County. Reg has carried out studies of both species at Annadel State Park and pigs at the Pepperwood Preserve. He has consulted with the National Park Service, The Nature Conservancy, state parks and private land owners regarding management of these introduced species.
