The Oaks of Pepperwood
The Pepperwood Preserve has a rich diversity of oak species and hybrids found within a variety of vegetation types (eg chaparral, oak woodland, mixed evergreen forest). Join Steve Barnhart, Pepperwoods Education Director and expert on Californias oaks, to examine the biology, ecology and identity of this exceptionally diverse group of trees and shrubs. Vegetation management, pests and diseases, regeneration and wildlife issues will also be discussed. Meet at the barn.
