Bond Street Theater Workshop - Video/Lecture Presentation
A video-lecture presentation describing Bond Street and Exile Theatre's creative work in refugee camps and areas of conflict with specific focus on Afghanistan and India. The videos show life in the refugee camps and a glimpse into the reality of travel in war-torn areas. Ensemble members discuss living and working in Afghanistan, the history of the conflict, and theatre's unique ability to cross cultural barriers and address the most sensitive of issues. The healing and empowering nature of the arts is dramatically evident in the work with children and women. Video is filmed in cities and rural areas in Afghanistan, India, and refugee camps in northern Pakistan and Kosovo. The presentation is followed by questions and discussion. $3-15 suggested donation. No one will be turned away for lack of funds.
