Scott Losse is a stand-up comedian from Seattle, Washington. You may have seen him perform at Bumbershoot: Seattle's Music & Arts Festival, Bridgetown Comedy Festival, The Seattle International Comedy Competition, Sketchfest Seattle or other places. Scott has appeared on Seattle's Evening Magazine (5 YEARS AGO) and is the winner of the 2013 NW Comedy Competition.
We're excited to welcome Jamika Scott! Whether it be her near-death experience with "the Mormons from around the corner," or, the time she ate a pot brownie while in the psych ward, Jamika is never without a story a tell. With a mix of familiarity and grandiosity, she will bring you into her world with her vivid perspective on family, friends, dating, and what it means to be an adult. Always flashing her memorable smile, Jamika stumbled into comedy in 2011 and has since been creating laughter sharing her views on life with audiences throughout the Sound. When she is not on stage, you will most likely find the Tacoma native laughing at puns or talking to herself while sitting in traffic.
Following a 20+ year stint in broadcasting Rick Taylor has been bringing his forty-something average gay guy view to the stand-up stage for the last 4 years. His musings generally take the life experience route as he is, in his own words is, "too lazy to make stuff up." Rick has performed at Portland's PrideFest, Seattle's Sketchfest, his comedy clip podcast, Punch Pod, was featured at Bumbershoot 2013, and he will be performing at this year's Bumbershoot Arts & Music Festival. Born and raised in Portland, Oregon. These days Rick makes his home in Seattle with his co-producer husband of 17 years, Chris Ferguson, and their two disobedient and ungrateful felines. Rick has made his mark on Seattle comedy scene by performing regularly in every room available and by starting and running some of the city's most popular comedy shows and rooms. Rick is currently serving on the artistic board of Seattle's Sketch based Pocket Theater, and he is the Executive Producer for Seattle's largest and most popular non-club comedy shows The Punchline Comedy Shows at Jai Thai on Seattle's Capitol Hill. Rick also produces the weekly Punch Pod stand-up comedy podcast. Rick and Chris have been recognized for their efforts on behalf of the comedy community in The Seattle Times, the Capitol Hill Blog, Seattle's City Arts Magazine, and arts and culture blog Wonder And Risk.
We're excited to welcome Andie Main! Andie Main is a Portland bred stand up who hit the stages and dive bars around town with a big splat about two years ago. Andie is known for her fearless and sharp observations. She has a pure and infectious enthusiasm, who somehow makes obscenity kinda adorable. She loves punk rock and considers herself a nice, albeit caustic, human. She has opened for TJ Miller and Jackie Kashian, toured with David Huntsberger, performed in 2012 and 2013's All Jane No Dick Comedy Festival, was accepted into Bumbershoot 2014, and produces Picture This, an LA based showcase specializing in the fusion of visual art and comedy, at Curious Comedy Theater. In addition to performing comedy, Andie also writes/draws for the Portland Mercury, and was the original illustrator for the popular podcast Professor Blastoff.
A standup comedian based out of Seattle. Yogi Paliwal has performed around the country at comedy clubs, theatres and festivals including the San Francisco and Seattle Sketch Fest, The Bridgetown Comedy Festival and at the NBC Standup for diversity Showcase in Seattle. He's written for IGN and Frank and Funny greeting cards. Carl Warmenhoven the manager of the Comedy Underground has said, "He has a youthness about him." "He enjoys the simple things in life, a grilled cheese sandwich, Bob Ross, whittling, and he gets bored writing his own bio. If you were to ask Yogi how he would describe his comedy he would say it's "Intellectual absurdity." If you asked him what that means he would say, "My material isn't smart, but you need to be smart to see how stupid the joke is."
We're excited to also welcome Jamika Scott, Rick Taylor, Andie Main and Yogi Paliwal!
