LA History Happy Hour @ Caltech Athenaeum
Join us for the fourth L.A. History Happy Hour on Monday, June 2nd, at the Athenaeum, Caltech's Faculty Club, hosted by historian Bill Deverell in honor of the 10th anniversary of the Huntington-USC Institute on California and the West (more info on ICW: http://dornsife.usc.edu/icw/). We'll be on the north lawn as, in the summer, the Athenaeum bar moves outside for the "Rath al Fresco."
L.A. History Happy Hour is an informal gathering of folks with a passion for the history of Los Angeles who want to share their discoveries, projects, and insights over cocktails.
Beer and wine will be provided (& non-alcoholic options) along with light snacks. Due to the policies of the private Athenaeum, non-members are unable to purchase their own food/drinks. So, if you expect to be really hungry, please plan on eating prior to the event. This special event has limited capacity so we'll be unable to accommodate extra guests (though our future happy hours will resume our regular "the more, the merrier" approach).
For those who take public transportation, here's the Metro Guide to JPL/Caltech: http://www.metro.net/riding/colleges/caltechjpl/.
