Maxime Bilet Cooking Class: Modernist Everyday
The Flavor Intensive Series this month teaches home chefs how to use modern techniques for every day cooking.
Maxime Bilet--coauthor of Modernist Cuisine--and Andy Nhan will teach you the secrets of creating intense flavor using modern techniques for the home kitchen.
Students will learn: - how to leverage modern, affordable technology to make delicious food both faster and more simply - about new ingredients that will change your life in the kitchen - tricks to prepare special meals in advance
Participants will enjoy a full meal that they will have a hand in helping create, while Maxime and Andy demonstrate methods new to most students.
Doors will open at 6:45 p.m. and class runs from 7-10.
***Classes are limited to 10 participants each day so we can give full attention to each guest and have plenty of time to answer questions.***
FAQ
Do I need to bring any knives, aprons, etc...? We will provide everything. Just bring your wonderful selves with open minds and palates.
Should I have previous cooking experience to enjoy the class and learn something that I can apply to simple, everyday cooking? You don't need any previous cooking experience and shouldn't feel an aversion to attending if you believe you're a bad a cook. You'll be surprised how quickly you can pick up a set of confidence building skills if you're given a chance to taste, learn, and interact in a comfortable setting.
Is there parking at Art for Food? After 5 p.m. street parking is easy to find and costs $4.00 an hour until 8 p.m.
